Greetings to our ABC Customers across the country!
I hope this message finds you well and feeling great about your decision to be part of the ABC family. Here at ABC, we have settled into a new way of life with our
Legendary@Home initiative that launched most of our employees to a work-from-home environment several months ago. We continue to operate in this remote structure, so it is very likely that the ABC employee who you speak with regarding your order is calling from their home! If you hear a child or dog in the background, I hope it brings a smile to your face as our employees, like many others, are doing their best to balance work and life in the same space. I could share many laughs and tears about the “joys” of working from home with all its lovely comforts and beautiful distractions (I have three very young children and a dog that barks 74% of the day).
While the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve in unpredictable ways, ABC is committed to providing Legendary Service to you, our valued Customer. We are neither content nor idle as we are continually looking for ways to improve the level of service we provide as your supplier. To that end, ABC is investing in our employees, internal processes, and ordering and shipping technologies to ensure you receive what you need, when you need it. We are increasing the availability of our employees so they can help address any questions you may have about your products, your insurance, or any other inquiries about our services. At the end of 2020, our goal as a company is to look back on the year and know we did everything possible to deliver Legendary Service to you and the thousands of individuals who depend on us for their supplies. While no one knows exactly what impact COVID-19 will have in the future, you can expect that ABC will overcome our challenges and that we will continue to supply you for years to come. We have both the will and the way to come out of this a stronger team and a better supplier for you.
If you have experienced Legendary Service by any one of our dedicated ABC employees, please reach out and let us know (and for those of you who have already reached out, thank you). We thoroughly enjoy your feedback and we take the time to honor and recognize the employees who live our commitment to Legendary Service. Celebrate Customer Service Week | October 5-9, 2020
Department Spotlight - Customer Service Team
Change is the only thing you can count on. Someone said that and they were right, particularly in the year 2020. We’ve all faced changes and challenges this year due to COVID-19 including the Legendary Service that our ABC Medical Customer Service team delivers every day – it has changed for the better! Most of our team is working safely from home like many Americans, and we have found that they are still able to take great care of our customers while taking care of themselves and their family.
Maria has been spending time working on her saltwater fish tank and painting ceramics. Her favorite holiday is Christmas by far and she has a 500 piece Christmas village hand painted… by her! Patrick has found time to start painting with watercolors and acrylic and rocking out on his guitar.

Spina Bifida Association Virtual Walk-N-Roll & 5K
October is Spina Bifida Awareness Month and World Spina Bifida Day is October 25, 2020. Since all Walk-N-Roll events this fall will be virtual, the Spina Bifida Association has designated October 25, the National Day of Walk-N-Roll. Everyone across the United States will walk on the same day in one large event!
Check out the DIY Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifidaprogram to get involved! You can still fundraise, generate awareness, and be part of the larger Walk-N-Roll community.
Virtual Zero Prostate Cancer Run/Walk 2020
ZERO online Run/Walks are underway all across the country raising funds to fight prostate cancer and support patients during the COVID-19 crisis. You can join a team or create a team and ask friends to participate alongside you in raising awareness for prostate cancer.

NWBA Webinar Series Presented by ABC Medical
The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) launched the NWBA Webinar Series back in August. This informational series focused on helping NWBA members build knowledge, skills and abilities on focused topics including understanding and securing grants, coaching education, athlete safety and tips on how to grow your Adaptive sports program.

Exercise for Wellness
Your body was not designed to be sedentary. It's important to work your muscles regularly as exercising improves your mood, increase your flexibility and mobility and keeps your heart and lungs strong. Everyone faces the same obstacle regarding exercise - Motivation. Set yourself up so that you can start to incorporate exercise into your daily routine.
Here are some tips:
If you have a Latex allergy, always check the exercise equipment beforehand, most Equipment manufacturers offer latex-free versions of their products.
Breathing - Remember to breathe normally while performing exercises, you should be able to maintain a normal conversation.
Posture - Sit up tall with both feet planted firmly on the floor.
Back Support - Make sure your lower back is supported, roll up a small towel and place it behind your back.
Rest - Give your muscles a day's rest between strength training sessions.
Remember to Stretch
Before you do any type of exercise, be sure to stretch your upper body and arms. Stretch for 10 minutes before and after every workout. Regular stretching can help prevent the risk of injuries.
