Andrew Lee, 19, is a student-athlete at Palomar College in San Diego, CA. He competed at the Collegiate Wheelchair Tennis Championships in Orlando, FL, April 20-22nd. Andrew is an ABC Medical Scholarship recipient and we are excited to present him as part of our adaptive athlete spotlight this week!

Most people live their entire lives working day in and day out in without ever finding their true passion" says Sean Kelker from San Jose, CA. "To me, passion is being able to work endlessly on an engineering or programming project, so intensely and so focused that I lose track of time, myself and my own physical limitations" he writes in her essay.
Sean recently graduated from the Pioneer High School and will be pursuing a Bachelors of Science Degree at Santa Clara University in the fall.

Pompton Plains, NJ native, 18 y.o. Stephen Machak is the recipient of the 2017 Spring ABC Medical scholarship for his leadership skills and the competitiveness he has examplified throughout his application. Congratulations Stephen Machak!
As an honors student and "a multi-sports athlete," Stephen has been playing adaptive sports since he was 5. He joined the Children's Lightning Wheels PSC for track & field and added wheelchair basketball shortly after.

A 13 year-old varsity athlete from Centerville, Utah, Alma Velazquez is the receipient of the ABC Medical scholarship. This year, members of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association were granted an opportunity to submit applications during NWBT in Louisville, KY for a scholarship from ABC Medical. After reviewing over 30 applicants from the 3-day wheelchair basketball extravaganza, we are pleased to anounce Alma, along with 6 other athletes, was selected to receive a scholarship.
From Utah Rush Juniors Varsity Team, Alma is a seventh grade student at Union Middle School.
